Services for the Homeless
The face of homelessness is changing. According to the National Coalition to End Homelessness, West Virginia has the highest percentage of chronic homelessness in the country. The homeless could be anyone and may include individuals or families with mental health conditions, developmental disabilities and/or substance abuse issues. Sadly, statistics show an estimated 1 in 4 homeless individuals are veterans.
At state, county and community levels, Westbrook is involved in administrative planning committees, as well as the direct treatment of those in need. If you or someone you know is in need of homeless services, help is available at Westbrook Health Services.
